Forty Five Red Tipped Heifer Delivers Black Tipped Bull 5/26/13
45- the white heifer with red points that I have been watching for days finally delivered in an isolated swale 5/26/13. They were both skittish so I'm guessing the little white guy with black points is a bull. He's just learning to walk and his first wobbly run went right over the top of a stump! Hard to believe that just last Sunday we had six inches of new snow.
The driveway to the farm is almost hidden so we solved that problem by planting a 24 foot carrot at the entrance. You can learn more about Wolverine Farm at www.wolverinefarm.com
Three Generations- 1987
Four Generations- 1999
The Ralph and Maxine progeny have evolved into a family with international roots that include Korea, Scotland, and India. In like fashion, the products of Wolverine Farm have expanded from potatoes and dairy to carrots, beef, eggs, berries and a broad spectrum of products. It has morphed from a sole proprietorship to an umbrella that covers a variety of businesses that market directly, through farmer's markets, and through commercial outlets.
